The aim of this course was to design an exhibition gallery, intended to display various architectural works, with special attention to use of daylight. According to the programme the gallery should consist of a sequence of three rooms with the following functions: exhibition space with solely transparency through the ceiling, vestibule for reading and video room with solely transparency towards the north-facing courtyard, which is besides the ceiling consequently only allowed transparency through east and west. The project proposes the installation of a system made of movable louvers, able to achieve various configurations towards changes in weather, season and function. As designed the installment would additionally unify the gallery through a transitional experience.
