The Idroscalo is an artificial lake in Milan, Italy that was originally constructed as a seaplane airport in the Eastern part of the city. Today, after the use of seaplanes for passenger transport declined, it has become a recreational and sport facility in the proximity of Linate Airport. The Province of Milan has transformed it into a park for citiziens. The project is about the architectural redevelopment of the Idroscalo island in Milan through the construction of a complex of temporary wooden structures, used for recreational entertainment and street food activities for visitors. The identity of the building arises from the meeting of various factors as fundamentals of the project such as: the interpretation of the place wherein it will be located and the different functions it will host.

The temporary structure complex consists of three main parts: a central habitable bridge on dryland and two heads on both limits in relationship with water. The element of union is given by a boardwalk in height that provide a walking path at +4 mt. The system will have the main axis along one directrix crossing and cut the island transversely and tilt with an angle of 18° degrees to the horizontal axis. This direction comes from an accurate analysis of the geometries of the site.

The habitable bridge is composed of: > a main fulcrum by octagonal layout with climbing element in the middle, characterized by a copper roofing element recognizable from the rest of the structure. > four repeated wooden portal-like elements, practicable at +4 mt, whose section has been geometrically created starting from a triangle of 48°, 72° and 60°. Their shape allows a linear route at the first level (4 mt) and on the ground. The basement outline recalls the geometry above
